Do you like to help those in need and give back to your community? Then this is the opportunity for you! The Volunteer Bureau is looking for individuals or groups to participate in this year’s Holiday Giving Tree Program. It is very simple, go to one of our 6 participating locations- Curves (on S. 18th St.), Curves (on Elmwood), Curves (in West Lafayette), Teachers Delight (on Farabee), and Christos (up at both Lafayette and West Lafayette locations) and choose an ornament. Each ornament has a need from the community that benefits local non-profit agencies. Fill out the bottom half and drop it in the box, keep the top half and help the community!

On October 1st, The Home Depot launched the 2008 Community All-Star Program with the NFL and United Way. The Community All-Star program seeks to identify a volunteer who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in community service and who has devoted their time and efforts to making long-lasting contributions to their local communities. United Way of America is promoting the program through our local community and volunteer networks – and helping The Home Depot select the winner. The 2008 Community All-Star will win a trip to Super Bowl XLIII and will participate in an All-Star community refurbishment project with eight NFL players.
