The Volunteer Bureau is encouraging individuals and groups to get in the spirit of giving by participating in the annual Holiday Giving Tree program.

Ornaments with holiday volunteer and donation needs of local human service agencies are hung on Christmas Trees on display at several locations in Lafayette and West Lafayette. The Holiday Giving Trees are displayed until Wednesday, December 26.

Twenty-five human service agencies shared their holiday volunteer and donation needs last year and we are inviting more to participate in 2007. There are many opportunities for people to help others at this special time of the year. Donating children's winter clothing, decorating for Christmas, and volunteering to deliver meals are just a few of the many needs found on the giving tree.
